DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK (even though it kind of is)
Detail of a recent multiple plate hybrid etching with screen print. I have rediscovered my love of intaglio.
There have been a ton of challenges in my life lately, ranging from my car being stolen, pipes bursting in my house, shifting of funding negatively affecting my students, my research changing and rearranging itself, and so on. I am doing my best to stay focused and stay productive, but it has become increasingly harder to do either things as of late.
And so I’m relaunching Impossible Press. Again. Sort of. The most recent hiatus was mostly nonexistent. I didn’t allow the domain to lapse or cancel my hosting subscription, I showed at a few artist book fairs and continued to produce zines. I’m still figuring out what this all means and just trying to follow the dopamine wherever it takes me.
Stay tuned for the launch of a new store to help me fund my recent financial woes. Maybe I’ll write more. Maybe I’ll go back to one of my older ideas of using this as a blogging platform for regional arts. Or maybe I’ll just continue to make silly patches and zines and hope they don’t distract too much from the academia of it all. Only time will tell.
I hope I make something you like.
